Thinking Outside the square is where we last left off. So to carry on from this topic let me introduce you to M.E. Software.

Make your financial goal reasonable and achievable (just so you know this is the reprogramming part). When you have done this it is time to set out a PLAN.

When you start to plan you have to be mindful of what is wishful thinking and what is achievable. Planning does not work effectively with WISHING … these two things are totally incompatible.

If you can see that in the past your goals have been wishful thoughts. That in a way is a good thing because you have identified this. Now you need to reprogram those thoughts to make different decisions that will produce better results.

Every single successful person in the cyber and real world practice these principals, this is what sets them apart from everyone else and this is what will set you apart from every other AFFILIATE.

A wise man once told me that there are three different kinds a people.

• Those who WISH things would happen

Whatever your FINANCIAL target, you must input it into your thinking and allow it to settle. This process may take a day or more before you begin to believe it.

If you find that you have difficulty in VISUALISING this goal, you need to STOP, go back and visualise a goal you can achieve.

When you lose the VISION, you lose your confidence; you will then find it difficult to follow through on any decisions you will need to make to continually generate income in turn making success much more difficult.

IF you don’t believe you can achieve making a $100.00 a day, you really need to wait until you can BELIEVE IT.

In making the commitment to your choosen income level, you are making a decision that will change your life PERMANENTLY so chose wisely.

It doesn’t matter that there are potentially thousands of other affiliates promoting the same program because from today onwards you are going to create an unfair advantage. Today you are going to learn some of the skills to becoming a SUPER INCENTIVE MARKETER.

And to be a SUPER INCENTIVE MARKETER you need to create an UNFAIR ADVANTAGE.

If you don`t reach your goals then you willneed to re-access them, are they realistic or do you need to increase the hours you work to succeed or take a different approach.

What is success, my idea on success will differ from yours.

Many websites offer a number of tools and provide promotion material but not everyone knows how to best utilize them. Thisis where training and support is a must. Provide it to your downline and expect it from your up-line.

Ongoing quality training and support are the two most under estimated "tools" or requirements many companies "say" they provide but either not everyone has access or knows how to use them.

6. Its so easy you will make m-oney even while you sleep.

This is a fact, the Internet does not sleep, but you will only make m-oney from sales or signups if you put in the effort.

7. Its cool because I don`t have to talk with people face to face.

Sure you can sit at your computer and promote your website,send out emails to prospects, network on ICQ and Ryze etc...

But you will find the big players are always talking to prospects either on the phone or while at the shops and gas station.

I must be really missing something here as I can count onmy fingers the number of people I have received in my downline as spillover in 3 years on the internet.

Yes spillover does happen for some, but don`t count on it.

Affiliate Marketing - Join in on the Success of the 2nd Wave

What do I mean by '2nd Wave'? Let me explain:

Can you remember the good old days when affiliate programsfirst came into existence in the mid to late 1990's? Everybody jumped in with two feet and put up dozens ofaffiliate links on their site with no real thought to whatthey were doing. We then wondered why we didn't make anymoney - not any real money that is.

The same thing has happened with the launch of other newindustries in that the initial craze and hype got out ofhand but when things quietened down people thought thingsthrough, put together business models and now succeed bigtime within that industry. The good news is that we, asaffiliate marketers, can learn from these industriesthrough their first and second phases.

A Definition of what a First and Second Wave is

The first wave is the pioneering stage, the launch of anew industry. There is lots of excitement and hype withmost people now knowing what they are doing. There aremany failures and very little profits during this period.

The second wave is the exciting phase. It has alreadycome to light within phase 1 that there is potential withinthe industry. People put together long-term business plansand even ordinary people like you and I can succeed in abig way. Hence, wave 2 is when the real wealth is created.

Industry Examples of their First and Second Waves

Let's take a look at some examples of industries in theirfirst and second waves and the success they have achievedfor thousands of people who were in the right place at theright time:

Video Cassette Recorders (VCR): Remember the first VCRs? They were huge, very expensive and not many people couldafford one. In 1972 Phillips were the first to launch a VCRfor home use but it didn't appeal to the consumer market.Only a few hundred were sold.

Second wave: VHS introduced their version of the VCR in1977 which was more appealing to the public. Prices camedown and soon the average household had one. Today, DVDplayers are now replacing them and huge profits are being soughtin this industry.

The 1st and 2nd Wave of Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate Marketing: The first wave of the Internet andthe affiliate marketing business lasted betweenapproximately 1996-2003. All the initial hype about theWorld Wide Web and making money from selling other people'sstuff grew within this period. Affiliates give no realthought to their sites and put up dozens of affiliatelinks. Not many affiliate marketers made any real money totalk of and not many of these sites are in existence today.

Second wave: From 2003 onwards the initial hype has died down and with the introduction of new wave technology and software, means that it is now easier for the average webmaster to build a successful and useful website business to succeed long-term with big profits.

So What Does This Mean For Today's Affiliate Marketer's?

You are now caught up at the beginning of the 2nd wave ofaffiliate marketing. You are in the right place at theright time - use this to your advantage now... today... Hereare some reasons why:-

Internet Affiliate Business: 5 Ways to Grow It Organically

Growing your internet home business organically means there are similarities to organic farming. An organic farmer knows that if he develops healthy soil, he will have healthy plants. He also knows that "to every thing there is a time and a season." You can't harvest in the spring, or plant in the winter.

1. Nourishing the soil in preparation for planting your business means identifying your expertise and passion, and researching to find out what's "hot". What is it you want to grow? What seeds do you already have? What affiliate program suits you best? Find the product or products you can endorse, the company with a history that also offers the best commission rate, the experienced team that will support and help you all the way.

Next research your competition. Who are they? Why would a customer rather buy from you? Study their websites and find your niche. What makes your site special? The beauty of the internet is that the "playing field" is level. Big biz competes side by side with small.

2. Promoting your business is like irrigating and cultivating. How and where will you place ads? Keep exact records of where you advertise and what results you achieve. Prune back what doesn't work. Link to like sites with good content.

3. Nourishment is adding articles, maybe a blog, tweak that website! Search engines love changes. Nourish your mind, too. Read the success stories of those who have gone before, join a business organization and connect with mentors, form partnerships. There is nothing to keep you from joining your local Chamber of Commerce. Swap ads with webmasters whose sites complement yours.

4. Before you know it, you may be swamped and need some help. The "organic" way to grow is to ask family members to pitch in. They're already expecting to share the wealth once it's harvest time anyways, they'll probably be willing to help get you there.

5. After you've harvested, at some point you will think about planting new seeds. Once your website is getting lots of hits and your business is blooming, your articles are out there and your name is being recognized, you can capitalize on your success by developing a product of your own. It will seem natural to turn your articles into a book, or develop an internet business course or newsletter.

There's nothing easy or effortless about developing your own business, but also nothing quite as exciting or rewarding.

How to Monetize a Free Website

For some time now I have been aggressively marketing my Geocitieswebsite without the prospect of any financial return. The siteis content based so I did not expect to generate any productsales and neither was I able to lure potential sponsors.

But that has quietly changed. Google has decided to rewardwebmasters with quality free websites the chance to rake in somecash for their hard work.

Google’s contextual advertising program Adsense has been aroundsince June 2003. Back then the program was open only towebmasters with their own domain names and many quickly took upthe opportunity to cash in on their labor of love sites.

The control panel is easy to understand and Google provides statsand figures in order for you to track your performance. You canalso add Adsense for search where visitors can search the web oryour site and you get compensated everytime someone clicks on theads displayed.

Developing content sites is key to success in Adsense. Why?Because Google’s technology uses the content of each page toguess which ads are most suitable. The higher the quality of thecontent, the higher quality and paying ads you will attract.

Please note that getting accepted into Adsense does not guaranteethat you will receive a check from them. Your success depends onmany factors.

8 Ways To Increase Your Affiliate Commission

Here are 8 easy ways to boost your affiliate income:

1) Collect your visitor email addresses by providing free reports.

Offer a free report to your visitor. This report should provide helpful and valuable information. This will enable you to collect your visitors email address and follow up with them. Use an autoresponder to automate this work for you.

2) Publish your own newsletter

Publishing your own ezine and building up your subscriber base. Most of the successful Marketing Gurus have a large subscriber base. The reason is simple, "The Gold Is In The List". Successful Marketers like Terry Dean, Jim Daniels etc have been successful in using this technique.

3) Write your own endorsement or review the product you're promoting.

A heartfelt honest testimonial is hands down the best way to get a prospect to buy. Your prospect wants to know how this product has ben helping you. This will help them to make the decision to buy.

4) Use your web site 404 (Error) page.

Even though we try to build a perfect web site, sometimes something may be missing without our being aware of it. That's why the software may still have bugs even after being tested a few times. Check with your web hosting company to see if you can customise the error page. In my case, I use my error page to promote some affiliate product's. I put up the ebook cover and the ad on the error page. Whenever someone is looking for a page that is missing or mistypes the name, this page will help me to promote Marlon's products .

5) Fully utilize your thank you page.

After the visitor opts in to your mailing list, redirect them to a thank you page where you can recommend your affiliate product. Yanik Silver is using this technique; After the visitor submits their email for the report, they will be redirected to the thank you page. In the thank you page, Yanik will recommend a few products to his prospect. However, Marlon and some other Marketers prefer to sell 1 product at one time, which they believe it is more effective and less confusing. You can test these 2 methods by using a simple java script so that the thank you page will be rotated. One is with a single product recommendation and the other page will be for multiple product recommendations. Test it out to see which one gives you a higher conversion rate.

6) Track your ad and advertising.

You have to track your ad copy and advertising campaigns. This will enable you to know the conversion rate and then your ROI (Return On Investment). Some of the tracking tools you can use are Adminder and Clickalyzer

7) Let your affiliate program presell for you

Some of the affiliate programs have prepared valuable reports, newsletters, or courses to help you to presell. Some of them are Ken's Site Sell products, Marlon's Weekly Marketing Tips and Sumatra's Search Engine reports etc.

What you need to do is try to get your visitors to opt in to these mailing lists and let their information do the presell work for you. I was able to secure 2 sales for Marlon's product for this months through this method. What I do is put the opt in form of Marlon's Marketing Tips into the bonus page where my subscribers go to download the bonus ebooks that I have set up for them. In addition, I also put the opt in form into the thank you and error page, right at the bottom of the product recommendation.

8) Give bonuses when someone buys from you

Everyone on the web is selling almost the same products as you. By offering additional bonuses like software, ebooks or information, your prospect may feel that the added value to your product tips the scale in your favor over the same product being offered by the others.

This does make you different from the others and puts you in "A Unique Selling Position".
